A solid-state tester that lets you be doubly sure when verifying diamonds
against all known simulants. It first uses thermal conductivity to analyze
the stone, then confirms the test with a measurement of reflectivity. Even
coated diamonds can be quickly recognized. Duotester includes a Diamond
Substitute Set of seven simulants to help calibrate & control the accuracy
of the reflectivity meter and an easy-to-read Reflectivity Chart that lists
common simulants and their reflectivity numbers. A buzzer will warn you
when the tip touches matel.
